Such a nice word, "almost". Implies the target, goal, something good is within sight.
The things I need to create time for:
* Slide show with sound of this year's photos
* Corrie kid pics for her birthday on the 29DEC
* AboveAverage.com development
* Buy iMac and Photoshop
* Load portable hard drive with keeper photos
* Develop PRETTY GOOD IMAGE site
* Find new job(s)
Still, these things fly through my mind throughout the day and end up in stray notebooks or white boards and get all jumbled up. Lord, Help my mind to work. It has so many thoughts. They suffer for lack of triage, lack of organization. It's always been this way. Must it always be this way? If so, I won't be conforming and performing according to conventional standards. Can I be at rest with that?
It results in my interests being a mile wide but not very deep. How can I make a valuable contribution?
I think, for now, by paying close attention to the opportunities around me to demonstrate the love God has for the folk I make eye contact with.
And that's what I'll do.

First Prayer - Port Elizabeth and points Northeast
On the eve of Emily and Rachel's departure from Cape Town, I ask almighty God to guide and protect these two seasoned adventurers from all harm. May they enjoy each other's company (for the next 10 days) and make many new and good friends. May they find ample opportunities to server You in such a way they they recognize the impact of Your love through them in meeting the needs of others in their path.
May they see Your hand in providing for them, in aiding them in overcoming obstacles, in clarifying their thinking as they seek wisdom in handling the situations they encounter along the way. May they return with many outstanding photographs. May their understanding of the South African culture be broadened, their understanding of human nature deepened and may the focus of their individual abilities be sharpened as they work through what needs to be done and what role they may play both now and in the future.
Thank You Lord for the joy of close friendship with these two extraordinary ladies. May they live long, fun, fruitful lives filled with enough adventure to fill a library.
